Lisa inspects the
handbells
The Marlin Handbell Ensemble will be appearing
on a new television show "Back Home With Lisa
Smith-Putnam". Lisa came to Leavenworth to feature our town
on her show, the first in a fourteen episode, debut season. We
played "Heidenroslein" and "A Few of my Favorite
Things," which is a favorite of Lisa’s. Here is Lisa’s
comment about the event:
"Bells have always played such an important
part of my life…In good times and bad they have always signified
a new beginning, joy in the heart or a reason to pay attention.
So, as I begin/ began the new season of my show it was fitting and
truly a blessing to feature the Marlin Handbell Ringers (although
I know it was not all of you) because words truly cannot explain
the JOY that was in my heart hearing you play. Bells ringing, as
they have always done for me no matter where I have been or am,
just hearing them ring immediately makes me feel warm and at home…
So again, thank you for welcoming me and making my trip so
special."
The show will premiere on Saturday, May 1st at
3:00 p.m. PST on AmericanLife Network and Sunday, May 2nd at 3:30
p.m. PST on FamilyNet (check your cable listings).
